Today I'm being inspired by the over-the-top glamour and whimsy of this Toronto home belonging to creative director of NH Design, Colette van den Thillart. The first image I came across in this months H&H magazine was the living room of Colette's home; the perfect paneling & moldings combined with the interesting furniture layout, lavish tabletop vignettes, and that amazing artwork by Canadian artist James Lahey is quite a sight! I only wish there were more views of this room!
The space above is home to the television - doesn't it look cozy? Another angle gives us a view of the massive custom-made sectional {click to enlarge image and get a better look}:
Love the touch of whimsy through the portraits of Colette's daughters.
Super cute use of a dress as a headboard - something like when we talked about framing vintage clothing.
What a dreamy bedroom! I could get used to that - adore the settee at the end of the bed.
Pretty isn't it? And I love that there are so many layers of interest. And a good mix of old and new too!

Wow! I seriously love the artwork in the first image, it is so gorgeous.I need to look into that artist. She seriously has great style! I love the huge custom-made luxe sectional (can watch hours of some of my fave shows: Homeland and Downton Abbey) and the portraits of her daughters are also a great touch. Happy Thanksgiving, and thanks as always for the stylish inspiration! Best, Beth

Wow, thanks for these pics, I love nosing into other peoples homes, everyone is so different and the style of a home is so personal, it tells a story. The furniture in this house is so elegant and detailed - art in itself. I love the dainty white table in the kitchen and the sweet bedside table. Thank you for inspiring :O)
