Gallery walls are always catching my eye, I love to look at how people put them together in different ways. So here's a question for you, if you had to choose ... do you prefer all the frames to match ...

Boy, I don't know about you but I can't personally choose between them, I love both looks! Do you have a gallery wall in your home? Did you go with a grouping of the same frames or a mix of many?
Happy weekend!

I've had a gallery wall in almost every apartment I've had (I've had 13 total since 1999).
I've always had black frames to unite the grouping and give it a little bit of cohesion. Recently, a friend's apartment (which is a collection of all kinds of different frames, photos, and art) has made me change my mind to mix it up.
My claim to fame is putting these photos in the bathroom. Guests love it and it is a great conversation piece.
I love a good gallery wall, but they must be level! Either mixed frames or matching is all good to me.

Nancy - Adore your blog and look forward to every post!
I prefer mixing frames. Gives it a more homey/custom feel like each piece has a story behind it (which it does). Looking to do something like this in my jewelry studio!

I have a several gallery walls one behind my couch pics of Paris and Italy as taken by my photographer friend and they are all the same size and frame in a row and I love the symmetry of it! But in my front entrance Its a mix of art, done by myself as well as others mixed in with framed pieces and I love the hodge podge of that! They both have their beauty!
Hope you have a great long weekend! You should come up to the Sunshine Coast some day !http://www.dawnajonesdesign.com/
Isn't the weather going to be great! As for gallery walls, I have one in my family room, which I love! But 3 out of 5 in this house do NOT like it. Argh....and I am banned from more gallery walls. Except don't tell them I am going to run one up the stairwell!
Wow this is such a beautiful room. So feminine and chic. Perfect combo for me :)
I always go back and forth about having uniform frames on a wall or different ones. Currently I have frames that look alike, but I like the idea of having maybe different sized gold frames to add a different touch. Thanks for the inspiration!
I love both, but right now I'm collecting pieces for our own gallery wall in our front hall. I was originally going to go with a collection of different white frames, but I'm adding a wooden cutting board to the mix, so I think I'll add a natural wood frames in there as well. Still need a few more pieces before I can start arranging and hanging everything, but I'm excited to get it all up! :)
Have a great weekend!
Enjoy the sunshine in Vancouver! :) Cheers from London!
I prefer MISSmatched. Quirky, collected, interesting!
