I hadn't given the pairing of black and yellow much thought until recently. You may instantly think bumble bee or team jersey ... but this combination never looked so GLAM! I'm loving it in fashion, and in the home, particularly in the bedroom ... let's take a look:

I do love the little pop of brightness yellow gives to a black & white room - like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.
I love the yellow pops in interiors, and feel like that's a color palette that's easier to grasp vs. in fashion (where as you said, you feel like you look like a bumble bee or my home hockey team, the Boston Bruins). I love all of the examples you've shared. The dress with the black applique that Olivia Palermo is wearing is awesome!

nothing wrong with any of these images....all STUNNING...I just am a bit commitment phobic when it comes to some things...maybe I should get over that!
