First up, dreamy wallpapers:
Okay - so you think I've lost my marbles right? Why am I showing you a tufted headboard? Yep, this is in fact wallpaper! I spotted it over on This is Glamorous, and was quite smitten with this padded linen beige leather wallcovering. Apparently it's so realistic - with wrinkles and shadows and all - that people will touch the wall just to see if it is real.
Next a fresh take on toile:
I am taken with this whole powder room, but especially with the toile print, which normally seems uber traditional to me, but is this a fresh example or what?? Anyone happen to know the name of this particular paper? {PS. do you die over the 'HOT' and 'COLD' faucet hardware in french? I die}.
Fabrics:
I am head-over-heels for Schumacher's Shantung Silhouette. Pretty sure I need this fabric in my life.
The uber stylish Marianne over at Style for Living is using it for a roman shade in her kitchen, and I cannot wait to see how amazing it looks! At minimum I need at least a pillow or two somewhere ...
Finally, a fabric of sorts, these gorgeous bathroom towels from Anthropologie:
Do they not look perfectly luxe, plush and inviting? They are even better in person. I'd love to have a set of those hung up for guests. Only problem is hubby doesn't get that guest towels aren't hung up for him to actually USE, they are just there to be pretty for guests. These puppies may not last that long at my house :)
Any of these fabrics & papers tickle your fancy? Happy weekend to you!

The toile is typically called toile de jouy.
I have been dreaming over those towels for years now but have the exact same problem with the hubby! You have such great taste, love your blog!
I love almost all the fabric designs that Schumacher has to offer. The Chippendale Chinoiserie theme has certainly made a comeback in wallpaper and fabric. Speaking of fabrics, I am giveaway a pair of Trellis Ikat pillows on my blog (http://michellelalala.blogspot.com/2012/01/giveaway-pair-of-trellis-ikat-pillow.html). :-)
Love it all! I recently did a powder room for a client in a toile paper and it turned out gorgeous. Once I get my new camera I'll be taking photos and sharing it on the blog. All of a sudden toile is looking fresh again (used in the right application).
Love the tufted one. Absolutely incredible. A person could really psyche someone out if they framed the wallpaper & placed it behind a bed as a headboard.
They have the similar handtowels as the last photo at homesense...
Happy Friday Nancy,
I am loving the schumacher wallpaper and fabric, I also love the little black and white framework on the taupe pillow, thanks for the eye candy,
Kathysue
I love that leather wallcovering! If I was in that room, I would definitely want to touch the wall!
Thanks for the mention sweetie! I'm obsessed with that chinoiserie wallpaper and I NEED those towels- like in a large, large way.
Lovely Post! B&B home rock my socks!

that is a great illusion spotted in this is glamorous!! I admire it but wouldn't have it in my bedroom! I die over those anthropologie towels! but just like you.. they don't last more than 2 days when they are in the laundry room.. and when visits come the towels happen to be dirty! however I might have them and collect a set of 7 different beautiful towels to have one everytime.
so beautiful Marcus :D
have a nice weekend !!
