And thank you to Colleen at Vintage Home for her comment this morning reminding me of this fine example in the latest issue of Style at Home:
Are you digging this look? Bold and dramatic, yet simple. I think a piece like these could be accomplished with a canvas, a pencil, and a bottle of India Ink. I may just have to wip up one or two for my own gallery wall!

I'm exactly the same - the simpler the better (just like me!).

I absolutely love this simple graphic punch. i want one.
I am so on the same page as you! I even have a few of the same pinned for my master bedroom. I'm planning on making some to go above our nightstands. I've never done art like this so who knows how it will come out :)
Fab post! I adore this look. So simple yet so striking. Love the double prints.
Yep, love it! Especially love that its something I could do.
BTW, thanks for the blogroll add! :)

Great images!
I love these. I've been admiring them for awhile. I'm going to have to DIY some of these for my own home!
HI ...love these hits of excitement...did you see the "copy" of the first one in S@H this month....my favorite!
Love the imperfect circles in the rooms above! You inspired me to give it a diy try.. what can i loose? an ugly circle that could probably look great?! got to try it!
could not agree more! i have 3 blank canvases at home, begging me to do something similar... ox
This is right up my alley! I have many of the same ones that you have in my inspiration files. Great post!
They remind me of 1980's art with a modern twist, no? I've always been a fan of graffiti-type, haphazard paintings like these and the circular patterns are just divine. Thanks for sharing! Now I'll notice them everywhere! ha!

Amazing what a simple bold piece of art can do to a room..it can literally transform the space. Love all of these dramtic beautiful examples!
I really like things that are bold and graphic so this is perfect. Since my furnishings are typically more colorful and floral this is the perfect art for the mix!
very cool... some of those look like they could inspire some easier diy paintings, which I love. Great collection nancy!
Sometimes a very graphic simple piece gives a lot of impact!
Love these paintings that you posted. Circles are so simple, and I think that's what makes them so appealing.
Thanks for the tip about the Brookside dark chocolates in your last post. I picked up a combo pack tonight, and they're really good :-)
You never cease to amaze me…….
Who would of thought a black circle would be so interesting. Love how it creates such a sophisticated style.
VERY pretty. especially the black and white graphic with the gold frames.
Bahahaha! I've been looking for b&w art and am obsessed with the one in Kate Spade's living room, but my husband just looked at it and asked if it was the same picture from The Ring.. What does he know! Great post! Xoxo
Love these - like a swoosh of a huge brush! :)
Love this idea! Always great to see something fabulous that can be DIY! Definitely going to try it out soon
