Pantone has presented their pick for the 2012 color of the year: Pantone 17-1463 Tangerine Tango! This deep shade of orange has red undertones - I would almost call it a blood orange. Last year's hue was a deep pink - Honeysuckle - it seems we are following the same trend of a bright & cheerful, feel-good color ...
So what do you think, could you see this color filtering into homes, fashions, and marketing this year? I think it would make a lovely addition to my 2012 spring wardrobe!! Funny to think ahead to spring on the first official day of winter :)
Don't forget to enter my art print GIVEAWAY here!! Contest ends Monday December 26th.

I really like this colour! My husband loves orange and I could totally see this tone working, I like the red undertones. It looks awesome with the teal and the hot pink! I'm with ya on adding it to the wardrobe, so bright and cheery for spring! Oh, spring, seems so far away!!
beautiful colour on tanned women!!!
I love Juicy!;)
Tangerine is a gorgeous color and it will rock 2012, that one, I'm sure about. :)
The tangerine with light blue is beautiful. Love your painting in the last post. You are very talented...
love a bright tangerine! i currently have nowhere to incorporate it in my apartment though!
I love tangerine (maybe not on me although the J. Crew dress is so cute) but definitely around me! It's not only gorgeous as a pop of color in a neutral room but mixes so well with other vibrant hues. Happy Thursday, Cynthia
Loving it in my wardrobe, I'm sure its just a matter of time that I embrace it in my home as well...beautiful post as per usual Nancy, Happy Holidays!

LOVE those chairs at the kitchen table. Will definitely bring this color into my wardrobe. :)
I will definitely be using some shade of orange here and there. But I feel it doesn't go with my usual scheme. Definitely a happy color. They say people are more apt to buy bright things in a recession!
Orange is definitely not my favourite colour but I'm sure after seeing it everywhere in 2012 I will learn to embrace it. Have a wonderful Christmas and thanks for your sweet comments on my blog.
Who knew I could like orange so much!!! Happy Holidays to you too Nancy. It was such a pleasure getting to know you and I look forward to more!
I'm stoked about Tangerine Tango. I think it's an awesome pick for this year, I can't wait to see more of it!
it looks yummy!bold & festive!
I have a big bowl of oranges, tangerines etc, in a big blue and white Chinese style bowl at the moment, however they will only be there until Christmas, morning when they will be squeezed and mixed with Champagne.
Beautiful color. It is bold and playful at the same time.
I recently recovered an antique chair and AGONIZED over the colour. my husband pushed me towards this :
