{black interior doors}

So ... as many of you predicted in your comments about my front door ... I'm loving the black so much that I want to get my paint brush out and start painting every interior door in the house!!

So ... the only thing holding me back is that I have a hallway that does not get tons of light. And this said hallway has 4 doors and 2 closets, eek! So what do you think, keep it white? Do the doors but leave the closets? Do it all? I'd love to know your thoughts!

{My closet doors are identical to these}  Young House Love

The only other complication: the look my husband is going to give me when I pull out the paint brushes and trays again ... lol! Happy Tuesday friends!!

I see you're still lovin the black doors!! I think these doors look great also because they have the mouldings on them, if they were plain, painted black, I wonder if they'd look odd???

i love the idea of interior black doors...seriously going to happen when i move into my dream house!. Despite the natural daylight I still think they will look good. You'll have to get use to a darker hallway though.

I was a bit afraid it would make the hallways seem closed in (?)...nope!
It feels more polished! Come on Saturday and see!

Nancy, I have been an admirer of your blog for months, so I officially signed up as a member!

I love the black doors. I think you would too. If you decide to go through with the project be sure to post the before and after shots.

Good Luck,

Paint them :) I will even come over to help you paint. I am a whizz with the paint brush. {Then maybe your hubby won't balk at the idea} Think, Karla's place has all black doors with with trim. Juicy!

Good morning Nancy,

Perhaps start by painting just one more set of doors. Live w. it for a while and see how if feels. (Don't do it all at once and then regret it).

You can alwyas add some stylish black hardware on any doors you decide not to paint.

You will figure it out. You are smart. And whatever you chose to do will be brilliant!

LOVE black doors! And again your hallway looks fantastic!

Hugs to you,

Mon

This is something I've always wanted to do. Fully intend to do this if it suits whatever house I buy in the future (am renting at the moment). So pretty.

Love these all especially that fabulous 3rd shot which understandably seemed to make the rounds in the blogosphere. Tough decision but I think if I were going to do it, I'd go all out and do them all!!

Paint them all. We have a dark end in our hallway, and the dark doors don't make it look any darker. I LOVE dark interior doors! You can check out mine here:

Nancy I love the all white luggage. I think that would make a great place to stash goodies for the guest room. I think I need to go thrifting, Thanks for the inspiration,Kathysue
