What do you think, would this detail be on your own wish-list??

{lusting: oval windows}
Architectural details make all the difference in a well-built home. I know my own dream home would have details galore, and on my wishlist would be an oval window or two. How fabulous do these examples look?

We drove by a house the other day that had an oval window by the side of the front door and we had to turn around and get a better look at it. They are so pretty - definitely on my wish list too!
These are truly beautiful! Great eye Nancy...as per always!:)
As always you find the most amazing bits to feature. I always admire homes with oval or small circular windows. The other night I headed to Point Grey with hubby {he had a race} and I walked around admiring all the grand houses, most had that small architectural detail like a round window that just made that house stand out!
My husband would love this - he said if we were ever are able to afford to build our own house, he wants an oval window in it! The rest is up to me yeah - now to win the lottery x
These are totally on my wish list - I would like to have one on each side of the front door - they are so amazing!!!

so pretty - the third is my fave :)
Yes, please :-) I love great architectural details, and oval windows are right up there on my list too :-) I especially love the windows in the first few pictures that you posted. The horizontal oval window is pretty cool too.
Oval windows are so beautiful, and such an unexpected design element. If I had the luxury of adding them to my home, I'd seriously consider their location, and whether there's a need for privacy or light control. Adding window treatments could be costly and/or detract from the lovely shape of the window.
I'm new to your blog, but will be following from now on!
Love these especially the ones with the overlapping interior circles. They would definitely make my dream house wish list.
Yes indeed, I agree there is something about an oval or even a round window that is charming.Kathysue
