My dream home would have to have ... A gorgeous unfitted kitchen, with lots of black!
My all time favourite space and dream kitchen is the one designed by my favourite Canadian designer, Tommy Smythe {known as the witty co-host alongside Sarah Richardson}. I love everything in that kitchen from the herringbone patterned floors, black window frames, amazing carriage light, rustic farmhouse style table, marble backsplash to the Shaker style cabinetry with black on the bottom and white on the uppers.
In the meantime while I dream ... I live with honey oak cabinets stuck in the 90’s. Ugh.

I'm with Barbara, I love love that kitchen... every time I see black windows or cabinets, I smile- so fabulous!!!
From one Barbara to another - I love it. It's also great because even if our ownn kitchens aren't ideal there are many tricks here to steal - the lantern, the painting of the cabinets two colors top/bottom, painting the insides of the woodwork black to make it more substantial, etc...such a great space and such a fun series - I look forward to seeing more!

Great pick, Barbara! Tommy was doing two tone cabinetry and black casings way before anyone else and the look still holds up. Love those herringbone floors.

Barbara what a place! I love so many of the details. (The floors, the windows, the over-sized lantern, the backsplash and the artichokes as decoration!). This is also going straight to my inspiration file.
