I love the idea of a desk doubling as a nightstand. This is a perfect solution in a very small space where pieces often have to do double-duty! If you work into the wee hours of the night, it could be nice to simply hop right into bed. And of course, for the younger folk {who often live exclusively in their bedrooms} this layout helps fit everything in. Shall we have a peek at the inspiration?

I love the look! Any one currently have this layout or wanting to give it a try?

That's funny, I have just spent this evening tugging my son's bedroom around to get exactly this layout!
Loving the bold colour combinations in these examples. I can't even pick a favourite...maybe the yellow one, or the navy blue... oh I like them all!
love ;)))

Those are gorgeous inspirations...
space-saving and fab looking ♥
So many great looks. I think it is especially nice to have a side desk and chair in a guest room.
I love this idea. I probably should've done it in my house, but I do just love the symmetry of two nightstands.
I have such a hard time keeping my desktop organized so this would be a nightmare for me! I would love to do this in a guest room though.
All perfect solutions. I always love working in my bedroom and have a small antique cedar desk in mine.
Thank you so much for this post! This is the design nightmare I'm going through right now, trying to make myself a little office corner in my bedroom! Massuco's design seems dreamy to me (love the tulip chair)Huge hug! XoXo
I really like this look and wouldn't hesitate to use myself or recommend to a client. I especially like the idea of NOT having matching bedside tables....this idea provides a great alternative.
A very smart and beautiful solution!!
I loved all the pictures!! So inspiring!!

Huh. I am now running to my bedroom to see if this would work...
Thank you!
Such a great solution and I just love all of your examples. Full of inspiration as always!
The desks are a great idea, but the chairs! Oh, you must have a great chair! They provide another opportunity for color and fabric. If I didn't work on my laptop in bed, this would be a great solution! Lovely inspiration!
I really love this idea, I know its weird but I almost wish I had a smaller bedroom so I would have a good reason to do it! These rooms are beautiful.
Ah yes, I have done this many times especially in teenager's rooms. I just think it makes sense when you have limited space to have furniture multitask ... I love you examples. I have actually used the same West Elm desk exactly like that ;)
Love this! Works perfect in small spaces. I am looking to carve out a desk space in our family room:)
Oh yes, I love the nightstand- desk combo. If you add a mirror, is can even tripple as a vanity =D I have the tiniest space on either side of my bed, but in the future, this will definitely be something to try!

I LOVE it and need to give it a try as I only have one nightstand. Thanks for sharing the inspiration.
