Love that this look is a nice twist on the ordinary. And if you've got little ones an easy wipe-able leather would be perfect! On the other hand if you want a touch of glam, you know that I would never say no to tufting:

{decor inspiration: upholstered kitchen benches}
Do your family members and guests tend to hang out in the kitchen even more than the living room? If that's the case, why not go for some comfy kitchen counter seating? I love the idea of an upholstered kitchen counter bench {kinda like a love seat for the kitchen}:

These are gorgeous and I would love one! Unfortunately with three messy kids I've resorted to completely wipeable surfaces for any spaces involving food.

Ohh lovely!! Such a great alternative to those skimpy bar stools! I also like the single ones that actually has back support and little arm rests. There are so many great options these days =D

So luxurious, except even though my kids are older, still wouldn't work. I can envision spaghetti sauce all over them. Actually I am more likely to spill on things than the kids :)
