The Brunschwig and Fils spotted fabric, 'Les Touches' is a fabulous designer fabric, it's unexpected with a traditional twist:
Perhaps the most memorable use of this fabric to me was in Tommy Smythe's living room:
If you love this look but don't equally love the price tag, check out Premier Fabric's Togo line, at $10.99/yard this is AT LEAST 1/10th the price!
I love Angela's use of this fabulous fabric on chairs in her entry way, read more on her blog The Painted House.
And check out all the spotted beauty from Jaime of i Suwanee, including this bedroom featured in High Gloss Mag:
So pretty ... and the best part is, you can get the look at any price point!

LOVE that art above the bed in the High Gloss Mag shot! Thanks for sharing! Miss Walker xoxo
Don't you just love seeing spots. All of these are fabulous.
I hadn't noticed the black & white spotted trend - but I bet now after reading your post, I'll be noticing it everywhere! Love Tommy's living room, and his B&W spotted chairs look great :-)
This trend is sooo me! I love the chairs in Tommy Smythe's living room, really diggin it as window curtains in that pretty pink room too!
I adore them both but I have to admit that the les touches has my heart- the irregular shape of the spots is just so fabulous. Having said that, Angela's chairs knock my socks off- her whole foyer does actually and always, love everything Jamie does- her bedroom is so pretty. Great post!
I've been noticing this trend too and for a 1/10th of the price it's a great way to get the look !
I upholstered some ottomans in the premiere fabric and loved it. The price is So far the fabric has held up pretty good.
I always say to my clients, buy less but buy the best they can afford. I would use the gorgeous "Les touches" by Brunschwig and Fils as an accent if I could not afford to cover armchairs, and choose a good solid fabric for them instead.
The Les Touches fabric is brilliant! Thanks for sharing the affordable alternative... I'd love to incorporate this into my bedroom!
Thank you, Nancy, for the link love! Those spotted chairs make me smile everyday...and that is before I even remember that it was only $5/chair for the fabric. :)
I love both Les Touches and the knock off--we can all be friends, right?
Seeing spots... and hopefully Tommy Smythe this weekend at the homestyles event in Saskatoon, SK (where I live). Excited!
i love this print, especially on the drapery!
Love this print. I just discovered Premier Prints last week and love the black and white ikat fabric! The price just can't be beat!
Still love Tommy's living room, those chairs add a touch of whimsy to his traditional way of decorating!
I think im going to give in and get that fabric...!!

Oh yes, I have adored this spotted fabric since I first sew it as a table cloth in Lonny. It kind of reminds me of a merge between different animal prints, like a cross between leopard and zebra? The affordable version is definitely a dalmatian ;) Great detective work!
