I just love every space she designs! I adore the mix of old and new, different fabrics, bold hits of color... I could go on and on! This talented designer is one worth watching.

I just love Summer Thornton's style, she seems to be able to blur the lines between traditional and modern perfectly. Her design firm, Summer Thornton Design is based out of Chicago, and her work was recently featured in Adore Magazine and Apartment Therapy. Her esthetic is based on classic design principles but she injects fun and trendy pieces that just make her rooms sing:

To say I adore Ms.Thonton and her style would be a HUGE understatement- I think she's utterly fabulous and love everything she does.

Some designers are so good that you could give them free reign in your home without concern. She's one of them.
This is so my style too! I've always loved that first room with the big yellow wallpaper as art. The bedroom with turq lamps is just fabulous too!

Beautiful interiors. I love the sofa in the 12th photo.. I've been lemming about a patterned sofa but feel I would tired of it relatively fast but that one I could live with forever. Thanks for sharing and providing this inspirational photo(s). Now only if I can find similiar fabric.

Yes I LOVE Summer's style too! Classic beauties with a modern and colorful twist is right up my alley =) The chairs at the DR table are so fabulous, love that she paired snakeskin covered ones with plaid!!! Such a bold move, and the result is so fun! Keep the inspiration coming Nancy, you know we love it!
