I always enjoy watching designer Tommy Smythe as Sarah Richardson's main sidekick on Design inc. and Sarah's House. His own fabulous work has graced the pages of House & Home, and come January we are going to get even more of Tommy in a brand new series called 'Sarah 101' for HGTV Canada. The design duo will be focusing on teaching viewers the building blocks of a room from top to bottom.Tommy’s quick wit is delightful, and his style makes me swoon! He's got expensive taste, and I love it! My favorite Tommy quote had to be 'Buy expensive things and eat noodles for the rest of the month' ... your a man after my own heart Mr. Smythe! {images via Tommy's FB page and House & Home}.
So many details I love about this dreamy kitchen {it's in my 'dream house' files, in case you were wondering}, the fact that the lower cupboards are different than the upper, the amazing marble backsplash, and I love the herringbone tile, how stunning!
I'm pretty sure Tommy is the King of the perfect vignette, so beautiful!

You bet I'll be watching! Sarah & Tommy are like the design Dream Team. Remember when they were painting the floor in Sarah's cottage and Sarah asked Tommy what they would have done if they'd never found each other? They're the perfect pair - just like Laverne & Shirley ;-)

Love Tommy! I feel bad I kinda snubbed him at the interior design show. I was too star struck meeting Sarah. I love the over sized lantern in the kitchen. He has a very masculine style to all his rooms, so different from Sarah.
I am a huge, huge Tommy fan. I even love the name - how many men go by Tommy? It's perfect.
I have been watching Sarah's House, and the budget and project don't really do Tommy's ability justice. These pictures really show what he is capable of.

That kitchen by Tommy is my all time favourite, it's my dream kitchen (ok-this one and Margot Austins) the floors, the carriage light, the classic black details-To die for!
His place is so chic and masculine AND he always makes me giggle, I just love that Tommy guy!
I love Tommy so much - met him once at the IDS in Toronto. Just as charming and funny in real life! I covet that kitchen - everything about it is perfect!
I love ALL of these rooms. I find them warm, inviting, interesting, and both classy and chic at the same time. So my style. And yes, I used to be one of them who lived on noodle soup from time to time in order to afford that purchase from the local auction house! And I have only fond memories.

Lovely post. I remember that bedroom with the red and white bedcover featured in an article and it was in Tommy's apartment of about 400 square feet, or less?! The guy has talent. And yes, I will...the only HGTV I follow is "Sarah and Tommy" so delightful (and real).
